Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between religious orientation and quality of life and personality type in veterans. The method of the present study is descriptive correlational research and was a cross-sectional study in terms of time. The statistical population includes all veterans in District 5 of Tehran. The sampling method in this study is mixed. Thus, first, using cluster sampling method, among the regions of Tehran, region 5 and among the regions of region five, four regions (Ekbatan, Janatabad, Shahran, Aria Shahr) were selected and Then 50 females were selected from each area by available means. The data collection tools used were Allport Religious Orientation Questionnaire (1976), Decency Quality of Life Questionnaire (2006) and McCray and Costa (1983) Personality Traits Questionnaire. To collect data from descriptive statistical methods (graphs, frequency distribution tables, percentages related to demographic characteristics) and inferential statistical methods (proportional to measuring data and statistical assumptions of Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression Step) was used with the help of SPSS24 software. The results of data analysis showed that the Pearson correlation coefficient for the two variables of religious orientation and quality of life was /26, so there is a positive and significant relationship between religious orientation and the quality of life of veterans. Also, Pearson correlation coefficient has been obtained for the components of neuroticism and extraversion with a negative and significant religious orientation. Correlation coefficient for flexibility, responsibility with a positive and significant orientation has been obtained.
