Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare spiritual intelligence, early maladaptive schemas and distress tolerance in mothers with a child with learning disabilities in mothers of normal children. The research method was descriptive-analytic of causal-comparative type. In order to achieve the goal, all mothers with children with learning disabilities referring to learning disability clinics and all mothers of normal children who are in elementary schools in district 1 of education in Qazvin in the academic year of 2017-2018; 59 normal mothers with 59 mothers of children with learning disabilities were selected as samples. Then spiritual intelligence questionnaires, initial maladaptive schemas and distress tolerance were applied to each of them. at the end, the collected data were analyzed using Multivariate Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and benfernan test. Spiritual intelligence, and component of understanding and communicating the source of existence in mothers of normal children are more than mothers of children with learning disabilities (P <0.01). Also, distress tolerance and component of mental distress estimation in mothers of normal children were more than mothers with learning disorder and the components of absorption by negative emotions in mothers with learning disorder more than normal mothers (P <0.01). But between initial maladaptive schemas, cuts and rejections, self-regulation and disrupted function, disrupted constraints, other direction, excessive tingling and inhibition, and absorption component by negative emotions in the distress tolerance variable (P <0.01) In mothers, children with learning disabilities are more likely than normal children (P <0.01).
