The purpose of this study was to predict psychological well-being and social adjustment based on the parent-child relationship pattern in adolescents with divorced parents in Hamadan. Research design was descriptive For this purpose, 260 adolescents with divorced parents in Hamedan were selected by two-stage random sampling. They responded to psychological well-being questionnaires (Ryff, 2002), students' social adjustment questionnaires (Sinha and Singh, 1993) and parent-child relationship pattern questionnaire (Bagheri, 1391). Research data were analyzed using Pearson correlation test and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that just some components of the parent-child relationship pattern negatively predicted adolescents' psychological well-being. Also among the components of the parent-child relationship pattern, only the control component predicted adolescents' social adjustment negatively. It is therefore concluded that in divorced families, parent-child communication affects adolescents' psychological well-being and social adjustment. Extreme control and surveillance, also reduces their adjustment.
