The aim of this study was to investigate the role of self-efficacy and psychological resilience in predicting anxiety and depression in patients with cardiovascular disease . This study was a correlational study. The statistical population of the study consisted of all patients with cardiovascular diseases who referred to the office of cardiologists in Karaj for treatment. From the study population, 100 patients with cardiovascular diseases were selected using available sampling method and replied to three self-efficacy questionnaires of Lou and Owen (2007) , Connor and Davidson (2003) Psychological Resilience Scale. And Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale Lebond and Lebond (1995). Findings were analyzed using Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and its components with anxiety and depression in patients with cardiovascular disease. There is a significant negative relationship between psychological resilience and anxiety and depression in patients with cardiovascular disease. Self-efficacy and its components can explain 34% of the variance of anxiety and 46% of the variance of depression in cardiovascular patients. Psychological resilience can explain 64% of the variance of anxiety and 70% of the variance of depression in cardiovascular patients.
